Krämerbrückenfest und New Orleans Music Festival

Thomas war über das Wochenende wieder in Sömmerda. Dieses Wochenende gab es in Erfurt das bekannte Krämerbrückenfest. Als ich über das Fest rechechiert habe, habe ich über das New Orleans Music Festival gelesen, das auch an dem Wochenende stattfand. Ich konnte es mir vorstellen, dass ihm das gut gefallen könnte. Und vor allem kostet es auch nix. Also habe ich ihn darüber auch informiert und wir sind am Samstag quasi nach Erfurt gefahren.

Zunächst waren wir an der Krämerbrücke. Wir haben ein paar Stände angeguckt. Für ein mittelalterisches Fest finde ich dieses Fest ziemlich groß. Krämerbrückenfest war nicht nur an der Krämerbrücke konzentriert, aber fast überall im Zentrum. Es gab so viele Bühnen über all in der Stadt mit laufenden Programmen (Musik usw). Das Theaterstück habe ich selber nicht gesehen. Die Stadt war auf jeden Fall ziemlich voll. Thomas und ich wollten da nichts essen, aber ich wollte den Met (Honigwein) gerne probieren (3,50€ für 0,2 L). Uns hat er richtig gut geschmeckt. Ich kannte Met nur warm von der Bierbörse in Jülich und mittelalterischem Weihnachtsmarkt in NRW damals, aber der Met wurde kühl serviert und das war richtig gut (und enthält leider auch so viel Alkohol, hehe).

Danach haben wir den Ort von dem New Orleans Music Festival gesucht. Gegen viertel vor 16 Uhr kamen wir an und da spielte das Trevor Richards New Orleans Trio (Schlagzeug, Klavier, Klarinet oder Tenor Saxofon). Trevor Richard ist der Schlagzeuger und bekannt als der beste europäische Schlagzeuger. Die nächste Band war die Mardi Gras BB (das Baby von Fettdienstag), besetzt von 6 Leuten (Sousette, Gitarre / Synthetizer / Banjo, Saxofon, Trompete, Schlagzeug, Vocal) und spielte seine eigene Art von Musik (wie Indie-Pop mit jazziger Akkorde). Danach spielte Dizzy Band. Die Band kommt aus Berlin und besteht aus 6 Jungern (Bass Drum mit Cow Bell und Cymbal, Klavier / Possaune / Tuba, Klarinet/ Sopran Saxofon/ Trompete, Klarinet / Alto Sax, Kontrabass / Sousette, Banjo)  mit unterschiedlichem Hintergrund. Ich muss sagen, die sind richtig gute Musiker. Das letzte Lied für das Session war deren eigener Song namens "Sunday Sweetheart", klang sehr romantisch :) und alle können singen. Huih :)

Die letzte Band, die wir guckten, war die Budapest Ragtime Band. Diese Band besteht aus 8 etwas älteren Männern aus Ungarn (Klavier, Violin, Trompete, Possaune, Kontrabass, Xylofon und Percussion, Klarinet, Schlagzeug). Diese Band hat uns auch richtig gut gefallen. Sie haben bekannte Stücke gespielt in ihrer Art und sehr lustig und unterhaltsam. Vor allem der Xylo-Spieler. Er hat gerappt und Breakdance gemacht O.o

Wir haben uns danach beschlossen, in den Naumburgischen Keller essen zu gehen. Das Restaurant wurde von einem der Thomas besten Freunde vorgeschlagen. Wir haben beide Rostbrätl gegessen und das waren echt lecker. Preislich ist es sogar ziemlich günstig.

La Voix Humaine/ Trouble in Tahiti

Huih! The first opera for this semester. It contained of two stories: La Voix Humaine - The Human Voice (Francis Poulenc) and Trouble in Tahiti (Leonard Bernstein). The theme of these two was similar: communication. The first one was a monolog, telling about a woman who talks on the phone with her ex-husband, who now has a new wife. This woman keeps calling him 'Mon Cherie', so it shows that she is actually still in love with him but keep blaming herself as the main cause of their divorce. At the end, this woman killed herself with the telephone cable and by jumping off of the balcony. Tragic. But luckily, who is still using that old telephone with cable? :)

The second one told us about one married couple who lives in a big white modern house. The husband is obsessed with being rich and famous. The wife visits psychiatrie because she feels depressed. Their communication don't go so well, they don't really greet each otherm don't do things together, they don't discuss like a healthy couple. As soon they start to talk with each other, it turns out to be a fight. But then, they realize that, and tried to repair their relationship. It was Leonard Bernstein's, so it reminded me a lot on West Side Story. It has similarity, of course, on music, stage settings (one stage and they played a lot with the stage lighting). And of course, I love it!

This is the first time we went fullhouse. Last two times I went with Matthias and Annika, but this time our other flatmates Ann and Julie (hey, new flatmate!) were joining us as well. This is a WG with kinda weird hobby: watching opera. LOL. I tried my selfie stick for the first time. woh! See my red face! Yeah, I should say, using selfie stick is quite embarassing ;P

Alcohol is not a solution, but no alcohol no solution

From Friday, I told myself I need something warm. I get cold. I need Glühwein!!
But no one drink Glühwein with me on Saturday. Soo I was waiting for Sunday til the band meet and as told after the concert, we are going to go to the christmas market after  practicing.

And the whole team was going!! Yeah. I went to the church on Sunday morning already, because I don't know how long we're gonna spend on drinking. I feel like enjoying the time with the band. and I did :) Counted as a part of the bund is a bliss, so I think it's also important to hang out with them once a while.

We were 5 on the christmas market, and then we 4 went to another restaurant afterwards. Everybody realized that I was drunk already. At least, I said that also. They kept offering me some alcohol, hahaha jaja.. Still!! I love this band :*

So last night I drank: 4 cups Glühwein (2 with shots, 2 without), 1 cup apple juice with amaretto (it's delicious though!), 1 shot I don't know what (something milder than Uozo), 1 shot waldmeister. Ehem ehem.

Benefizkonzert

The first time performing in a band again after junior high school.
And I just love this band. I'm now in Lounge Pad officially :)
The concert was successful.
We played Breezin', Der Mann, Autumn Leaves, Hallelujah, Dream a Little Dream of Me, Baby I'm a Fool.
Well as usual, I was panic and totally nervous. My throat was dry and it was just uncomfortable.
I drank almost after every song. And after my first singing I whispered to Christian that I don't remember the second part from Hallelujah and whether they can give me a second to think. The whole band was confused, I got panic than I should, Metti was annoyed and I kept people on waiting. Horrible. But then, yes, I finally remembered and we played all as we wanted to play. This time I proud of myself making no mistakes on the text. Yes :) We got 2 offers afterwards playing on the other stages. Yihaa :)
